Actively Managed Certificates:
A Modern Investment

Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) have emerged as a modern favorite in the investment realm, distinguished by their ability to afford asset managers unparalleled strategy flexibility.

Unlike their traditional structured product counterparts, which remain static in their investment term and underlying assets, AMCs introduce the ability to periodically adjust these assets or indices. This not only allows asset managers to dynamically modify the returns received by investors but also ensures these certificates stand out as a cost-effective solution.

In fact, even smaller asset managers can now develop competitive strategies, leveling the playing field with the giants of the industry.

The efficiency of AMCs is further underscored by their rapid setup process, which can be completed in as little as two to four weeks, contingent on the strategy and broker in question.

A New Benchmark: The European Sustainability Reporting Standards

This directive is set to cast its net wide, potentially influencing approximately 50,000 companies. However, SMEs that aren’t publicly listed find themselves exempt, at least for now.

Diving deeper into the directive, it becomes evident that its reach extends beyond the EU's boundaries. Non-European entities, provided they have significant business undertakings in the EU (net business volume exceeding 150 million euros) and at least one subsidiary or branch within EU borders, will be required to toe the line.

These firms will be expected to share insights on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) endeavors, mirroring the Directive's guidelines.

A pivotal element of this directive is the insistence on quality assurance. The ESRS demands that every piece of information presented be certified by an independent, accredited auditor. Whether it's a European entity or one established in a third country, the standards of certification remain unwavering.
